The wind did its thing , swept up leaves fallen to create a ruckus silent yet filled with sounds through motions

On the path to wonder each day, to collect on my way!

The snow materialized ever so fleeting like speaks

Of whiteness on grays of winter on our cul de sac

The views in the front and on our backs rather quiet

As shelter was hiding in bushes and fir tress, holly trees

Too, behind shiny ripe berries, clustered in prickles

Birds, squirrels , crouching critters under fallen caught

Leaves fraught with dull browns of all shades, the puffs

Of feathers puffed up to capture any warmth as bite bit

Cold bites attack from all round coming forth from nowhere

It seems, a constant barrage, unexpected, not foretold, to

Make known their presences often in groups not quite

Grouped, but evidenced in some part some measure by all

Inside and out homes from windows from eaves, gutters,

Sheds, homemade beds, more snow, more rain? Winter all

Round, sure to be more wind winding whisking our way!

Feeling my moments one two three four times at

A time so timely so cozy so blustery so real!

I capture them sometimes in parts as they steal by!
